India to Remove 6% Digital Ad Tax on Foreign Platforms from April 1 2025

In a significant move, India will abolish the 6% Equalization Levy on digital advertising services starting April 1, 2025. This tax, often referred to as the “Google Tax,” has primarily affected foreign tech giants like Google, Meta, and Amazon, as well as Indian businesses utilizing these platforms for advertising.
